Perth Bhangra Academy Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: January/2022

At Perth Bhangra Academy, we are committed to ensuring our website and programs are inclusive and accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

1. Our Commitment

We aim to make our website content and online enrolment process accessible and user-friendly for all visitors, including those using assistive technologies such as screen readers or keyboard navigation.

Our goal is to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards, in line with the Australian Government’s requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).

2. Website Accessibility

  • Our website has been designed to provide sufficient contrast, clear text, and consistent navigation.

  • We aim for all images to include alternative text.

  • We strive to ensure all form fields are labelled and accessible via keyboard navigation.

3. No Permanent Physical Location

Perth Bhangra Academy does not operate from a fixed venue. We hire different studios or halls for classes and events. As such:

  • We cannot guarantee accessibility features (e.g., wheelchair ramps, accessible toilets) at every venue we hire.

  • We will, however, do our best to book venues that meet accessibility needs whenever possible.

4. Requests for Reasonable Adjustments

We encourage students, parents, or guardians with accessibility requirements to contact us in advance so we can:

  • Discuss individual needs,

  • Try to select venues that can accommodate those needs,

  • Arrange any reasonable adjustments we can offer.

5. Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website and services. If you encounter accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

Email: perthbhangraacademy@gmail.com

We will do our best to respond promptly and address your concerns.

6. Continuous Improvement

We are committed to reviewing and improving our accessibility policies and website content regularly to ensure everyone can enjoy our programs and online resources.
